Edinburgh Beer Factory

The Edinburgh Beer Factory is a family run, independent brewery launched in 2015 to make people think again about beer and Scotland. Founded by the Dunsmore family, they have grown to a great big family of 20+ team members.

Like Edinburgh, the city where it all started, they are creative, inventive and outward-looking. They combine old and new ideas and techniques to create beers of beauty.

Inspired by the Edinburgh-born ‘Father of Pop Art’ Eduardo Paolozzi, they showcase the art of brewing. Paolozzi took everyday objects and transformed them into works of art; they take overlooked and underestimated beer styles and present them at their beautiful best.

At Edinburgh Beer Factory they have access to some of the finest brewing talent in the world, coming out of Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.

Paolozzi Lager has won UK’s Best Helles Lager in the World Beer Awards 4 years in a row (2016-2019), whilst Paolozzi Unfiltered won Silver in 2021, and Untitled IPA won Silver in UK’s Best English Style IPA (2021).
