6 O’clock GinAt Trafalgar Foods, our aim is to source quality products in one market and sell them to another, the services we provide are designed to build you a stronger and more innovative business. One of the suppliers we currently partner with is 6 O’clock Gin. 6 O’clock Gin is a range of strikingly smooth artisan gins, handcrafted in small batches, using traditional skills and only the best natural ingredients. The name was inspired by a long-held family tradition of indulging in a Gin & Tonic at 6 o’clock; a custom still enjoyed at the distillery and shared by gin-lovers all over the world. Nearly 30 years ago, Edward and Penny Kain owned a fruit farm, as a sideline, they started making delicious fruity liqueurs and sold them with some considerable success. Some years later, their children took over the now prosperous distillery. Guided by the family’s expertise in liqueurs, they set about perfecting the gin recipe. The wonderful flavour of 6 O’clock Gin emerged through experimentation: carefully selected botanicals, precisely balanced for a refreshingly clean taste. 6 O'Clock is a refreshing smooth gin with a clean flavour led by Juniper, the smoothness flows from the custom-built copper pot still with its unique double sphere head, together with the selection of botanicals and our distiller's craft; only the pure heart of each run makes the cut. The name 6 o'Clock is a nod to the family's great grandfather who was an inventor, engineer and gin lover who would settle down with a gin and tonic at 6 pm each day for some inspiration.

Lixir TonicAt Trafalgar Foods, our aim is to source quality products in one market and sell them to another and we look to forge strong relationships with distributors. One of the suppliers we work with is Lixir Tonic. As bartenders and friends, Matt and Jordan set out to shake up an industry that had gone flat. Like most good stories, the idea for Lixir Drinks was born on a night out. While working behind the bar together, Matt and Jordan had seen the popularity of flavoured spirits grow, as well as people becoming more health-conscious drinkers. There seemed to be something missing; there wasn’t a mixer brand that combined big flavour with less sugar, fewer calories and nothing artificial. They wanted to create a brand with a bit of an edge, with a contemporary feel, that looked as good as it tasted, which is exactly what they did. Once the idea was born, the bartending pair had to make it a reality, so they set out to provide the world with something fresh, natural and unique, and to bring drinks back to what it’s all about, having a good time. Matt and Jordan spent over a year working on the perfect balance of flavours, paying special attention to the ingredients we were using. They knew that quinine was an essential flavour profile in tonic but that it was often way too bitter, so decided to create all Lixir tonics with less quinine for a more balanced taste. Since its launch in 2018 through a successful crowdfunding campaign, Lixir Drinks has evolved into an award-winning mixer brand found across the UK and the world.
