Meantime

Meantime logo

At Meantime we have one simple philosophy. Oddly it allows us to think in two different ways.

Our sole concern is to put before the consumer the most exciting flavours to be found in beer that we are able to create with the wit and technology at our disposal.

That is our philosophy

We do this out of a passion for our craft. This passion is both born out of a respect for the traditions of the brewers' mystery, as well as respect for the potential flavours that that mystery can reveal.

On the one hand we are fascinated by the desire to understand and recreate the flavours of the past; beers of immense social significance, that literally changed the world, but about which we, today, understand very little. We have already started, and shall continue, to reseach and recreate these great beers.

Meantime London Pale Ale Long Neck
MALT SWEET, HOP BITTER
PALE ALE MALTS, GOLDING, CASCADE AND CENTENNIAL HOPS

In the days before lager a Pale Ale was a treat. It was the beer that cost that little bit extra. It was the first beer to make a statement about the drinker. Meantime's Pale Ale is a little bit special too. English Goldings hops provide the bitterness, whilst our unique dry hopping technique with bucketfuls of Cascade and Centennial hop gives it a truly tantalising aroma that assails the nose with a complex, heady mix of spearmint, grass and 'hop sack' aromas. The fruit on the palate gives way to a very dry finish with a slight lingering bitterness, that calls for a further sip, which is truly characteristic of the Pale Ale style.

India Pale Ale (ABV 7.5%)

India Pale Ale
Jam packed with English Fuggles and Goldings, the beer is brewed with as many hops as we can physically get into the copper. We then fill the lauter tun with hops for a further infusion and then we dry hop with the beer with even more hops using our own unique circulation process to ensure maximum contact between the hops and the body of the beer. All this gives us a final hopping rate of well over 2lbs of hops per barrel.

Packaging: case of 6 x 750ml cork-and-wire champagne bottles.
