Farmhouse Biscuits were originally produced in the farmhouse kitchen at Higher Oaklands Farm, Barrowford. Hence the name. However, in 1973, due to unprecedented demand for our product, a decision was made to discontinue the farming side of the business, convert existing farm buildings, and expand biscuit production under the name of Farmhouse Biscuits Limited.
Staff were employed and production increased from a few hundred pounds to several tons a week. Great care has always been taken to ensure that the original family recipes which have been handed down from past generations, are maintained. By 1976 an extensive distribution network had been established to cover the whole of the U.K.
